Lai Huen Poh leads the management team as Senior Managing Director, charting the strategic direction and driving business performance of RSP. With more than four decades of experience, he has spearheaded the firm’s expansion to markets in India, Dubai, Malaysia, China and Vietnam and forged strong client relationships. Huen Poh will draw on his years of experience, including the last 10 years in senior management, to inspire and impart skills and best practices to the next generation of leadership and beyond.
Apart from his track record in engineering landmark developments such as the Republic Plaza and ION Orchard, Huen Poh actively contributes to industry, serving on several of Building and Construction Authority (BCA)’s Committees such as the Construction Best Practice, Structural Robustness and on the International Panel of Experts on Construction. He is also a member of the BCA and Singapore Land Authority (SLA) Boards, and the BCA Academy Advisory Panel. For his long service on the Strata Titles Board, the Ministry of National Development conferred on him the Meritorious Service Award (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) in 2011.
He is a Registered Professional Engineer (Civil), a Chartered Engineer (UK), and a member of several associations like the Association of Consulting Engineers, Institute of Civil Engineers and the Singapore Structural Steel Society. He has a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK.
Seah Chee Kien leads the architectural division at RSP as Managing Director, bringing more than 30 years of experience to his work, including as Chief Architect at the JTC Corporation and Jurong Consultants (2001 to 2006) and Architect at Tangguanbee Architects (1990 to 1995). Among the major projects he completed are One-North’s Fusionopolis and Biopolis, leading R&D hubs in Singapore, and the Gallery Hotel. In RSP he was the principal designer for major projects like Altez, Cyan, Watertown and Waterway Point.
Chee Kien is a Registered Architect, and a member of various architectural institutions like the Singapore Institute of Architects, Royal Institute of British Architects and the American Institute of Architects. He has a Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Arts (Arch Studies) from the National University of Singapore.
Beh Swee Chiew has over 30 years of project and engineering experience in Singapore and the region, leading major projects covering a diverse range from strategic industrial developments in biopharmaceutical, marine & offshore, cleantech, to chemicals, manufacturing, logistics & ramp-up warehousing centres, retail & office, international schools, hospitality and residential.
As Managing Director and an ISO 9000 Internal Quality Auditor, he leads RSP's engineering division and is strongly focused on structural design excellence, good project management and delivery. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (Civil) and a senior member of The Institution Engineers in Singapore. Swee Chiew holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
Senior Director Lee Kut Cheung had led RSP’s architectural division for the last 10 years as Managing Director. He is the principal architect behind many major residential, commercial and institutional projects including the award-winning Institute of Technical Education (ITE) regional campuses in East and Central Singapore. The strong client relationships that he built resulted in RSP becoming the architect of choice for some major local developers. In his role as Senior Director, Kut Cheung will concentrate on maintaining these relationships and helping the new generation of leadership to establish new ones.
Kut Cheung has been actively involved in shaping industry practices and standards, serving in committees and boards such as the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Board, the Board of Architects (BOA) and the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s (URA) Design Advisory Panel. He is a Registered Architect and a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Architects, an APEC and ASEAN Architect, and a corporate member of RIBA, UK. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Hong Kong University and postgraduate diploma from the Architectural Association, London.
Ng Meng Hui has more than 26 years of architectural project management experience, working on a range of projects covering residential, hospitality, offices and education, in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Myanmar. An Executive Director and one of the leaders of sustainable designs, he has been actively building up expertise and knowledge in the design of green buildings within RSP. He is a certified Green Mark Manager by Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority and has been involved in shaping the planning guidelines for skyrise greenery in Singapore.
He is a Registered Architect and was a council member with the Singapore Institute of Architects from 2009 to 2012. He is also a member of the Investigation Panel with the Professional Engineers Board from 2012 to 2014. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture in Architecture Studies and Architecture (with Honours) from the National University of Singapore.
Hazel Ang has more than four decades of architectural design and project management experience for a diverse range of building types from residential, infrastructure, to hospitality, education and offices in Singapore and other countries like Vietnam and the UAE. She has worked on key office buildings like the MAS Building, Keppel Towers and the Capital Tower, including award winning ones like LASALLE College of the Arts and the Grand Park City Hall.
Several of her projects have won best buildable design awards, recognising her strong expertise in being able to address complex design interfacing and construction challenges, executing clients’ visions efficiently. She is a Registered Architect and a member of the Singapore Institute of Architects. She earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Singapore.
Vivien Heng has more than 37 years of experience in the design and management of projects ranging from education, sports & residential, to industrial and commercial developments. Some of her major projects include the United World College Dover Campus, BMW Centre and Showroom, Caterpillar Reman Facility, BCAA Building and Braddell Campus expansion.
As Director of Environmental and QA Management Systems and a BCA certified Green Mark Manager, she leads the environmental sustainability unit in RSP. She is recognised for her extensive expertise and knowledge in green building design strategies. She also actively serves as a Board Member of the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) and is an Industry Ambassador for BCA. For her commitment to driving sustainable architectural design, she was given the inaugural Green Architect Award in 2011 by BCA-SGBC. She is a Registered Architect and a member of the Singapore Institute of Architects, with a Bachelor of Architecture (with Honours) from the University of Singapore.
Pok Siew Fatt has more than 33 years of design, master plan and architectural project management experience in Singapore, Malaysia, China, India, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and Africa. As Director, he shares his wealth of expertise and knowledge across various teams in RSP. His portfolio spans across different countries and sectors, and includes Capital Tower, LASALLE College of Arts, Rivergate Condominium, Information Technology Park in Bangalore, The Oberoi Gurgaon, Saigon Sports City master plan, Xiamen ITE College, Beijing Conservatory of Music, Chongqing Marriot Hotel, Startimes Campuses in Beijing, Lagos, Kenya, Mozambique, Zambia, South Africa, among various other international projects. He has been instrumental in growing RSP’s portfolio of projects in Africa as he leveraged on his networks and expertise to secure projects in Africa.
His passion for design goes beyond architecture. Going above and beyond the contractual scope of work for clients, he has provided value-added design services such as curating the arts display for the Embassy of China in Singapore and designing the sculpture for the SIDA Campus in Beijing.
He is a Registered Architect and a member of the Singapore Institute of Architects, with a Bachelor of Architecture (Honours) from the National University of Singapore.
A Design Director, Tay Eng Khoon has more than 26 years of design and architectural project management experience in Singapore and other cities like Ho Chi Minh City, Dubai, Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur. He brings a depth of expertise and knowledge in the design and construction process, managing a range from large-scale complex projects to smaller boutique designs. Some of his key projects include The Panorama (Shanghai), Sarawak International Medical Centre (Kuching), The Vista (HCMC), One Devonshire, EFG Bank Building, ITE College East, ITE Headquarters & ITE College Central and Devan Nair Institute of Employment and Employability. He received a Bachelor of Science (Architecture) and Architecture (Class 1 Honours) from the University of Newcastle, NSW Australia.
As Design Director, Gabriel Chen has 32 years of architectural experience in leading major projects in Singapore and other cities like London, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai and Shanghai, covering a range of building types, from infrastructure, to healthcare, sports & recreation and hospitality. He has been one of the key principal designers for many of the firm’s award winning projects like the Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay, LASALLE College of the Arts, ION Orchard and Dover MRT Station.
In his design approach, Gabriel pays close attention to details and follows through with a comprehensive and exhaustive process, to offer innovative and inventive solutions. Prior to joining RSP, Gabriel has worked in private practices in Liverpool and London. A Registered Architect with the Architects Registration Board (UK) and a Chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (UK), he holds a Bachelor of Art in Architecture (with Class 1 Honours) and a Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Architecture at Liverpool University, UK.
Chen Hong leads the Master Planning and Urban Design division of RSP as Director. She has worked on many large-scale planning projects in China. She brings more than 25 years of comprehensive expertise in master planning, urban design, as well as architectural design across a variety of project types including educational, institutional, office, hospitality, infrastructure and residential. She collaborates closely with all stakeholders to build consensus, resolve barriers to a project’s implementation and bring fresh perspectives to planning projects.
In her previous position in Hangzhou Qianjiang New CBD Construction & Management Committee, she jointly oversaw all planning works, including underground plan and implementation, and design review of public and private investment projects in Hangzhou CBD. She also led research on design guidelines and policies of green building and urban design, with a strong focus on creating integrated vertical pedestrian systems and vibrant public spaces.
Chen Hong is a Member of Singapore Institute of Planners and holds a Certificate of Senior Architect (China). She is also a National Registered Architect and Urban Planner (China). She earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering in the Specialty of Architecture from Taiyuan University of Technology, and a Master of Arts in Urban Design, School of Design & Environment from National University of Singapore. She was a master-level visiting scholar in urban planning at University of Illinois in Chicago, USA.
With more than 23 years of architectural project experience, Chan Ai Hup has worked on a diverse range of projects, covering residential, industrial, institutional, infrastructure, sports & recreation, retail and conservation projects. She has helped to transform Clarke Quay, a historic entertainment district and has worked on other notable projects like the Maplewoods and Buckley Classique Condominium, the Sentosa Intra-island cableway project and industrial projects like Pfizer, Lonza, GSK pharmaceutical plants and the Halliburton Completion Tools Manufacturing Plant. She is a Registered Architect and a member of the Singapore Institute of Architects, with a Bachelor of Arts (Architectural Studies) and Bachelor of Architecture from the National University of Singapore.
Colin Chan has more than 28 years of architectural project experience to his work in Singapore, Vietnam and Australia. His diversified portfolio covers residential, offices, retail, sports & recreation, infrastructure and industrial projects. Colin is a Registered Architect with the Board of Architects in Singapore and a member of the Singapore Institute of Architects. He graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture & Bachelor of Design Studies from the University of Queensland, Australia.
Sonny Chionh has more than 19 years of architectural project experience in the design, development, coordination and implementation of medium and large sized projects. He has worked on a wide range of developments, from education, to hospitality, commercial, residential, institutional and retail in Singapore, Malaysia and the UAE.
He is the project architect for close to 20 schools when he was at the Public Works Department / CPG Consultants and now in RSP. Some of his major works include the MAS Building (A&A), Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay and Westgate. He has also undertaken a number of due-diligence exercises for buildings requiring statutory & technical assessments.
Sonny is RSP’s joint Quality & Environment Manager, overseeing quality and environmental aspects, ensuring good processes and documentation are in place. He is a Registered Architect with the Board of Architects, Singapore and a member of the Singapore Institute of Architects. He received a Bachelor of Architecture (with Honours) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and a Diploma in Architectural Technology from the Singapore Polytechnic.
Lau Shuh Ling has more than 24 years of architectural design and project experience in a range of projects from residential, to recreational, hospitality, institutional, industrial, office and conservation. Some of the projects she has worked on include Grange Residences, The Sea View and Nanyang Polytechnic campus expansion. She is part of the internal quality audit management team ensuring good processes and documentations are in place. She is a Registered Architect and a member of the Singapore Institute of Architects. She received a Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science) and Bachelor of Architecture (with Honours) from the Curtin University of Technology, Australia.
Law Yoke Foong brings more than 15 years of architectural project experience to her work covering a range of types from residential, healthcare, offices, to retail, conservation, industrial and infrastructure. Some of her key projects include the redevelopment of Clarke Quay into a retail and entertainment hub, CYAN Condominium and Jurong East Nursing Home. She is a Registered Architect, a certified BCA Green Mark Manager and a member of the Singapore Institute of Architects. She was a member of the 52nd and 53rd Council of the Singapore Institute of Architects in 2012 and 2013. She earned a Bachelor of Arts (Architecture Studies) and Master of Architecture from the National University of Singapore.
Ronny Soh brings more than 26 years of architectural project experience to his work, covering hospitality, residential, retail, education, sports & recreation and infrastructure. He has led some notable projects like the new extension for Plaza Singapura, the restoration of the historic Ascott Raffles Place and Changi Airport’s iconic hub, Project Jewel. He is a Registered Architect, a Singapore Building and Construction Authority certified Green Mark Manager and a member of the Singapore Institute of Architects. He earned a Bachelor of Arts (Architecture Studies) and Bachelor of Architecture (with Honours) from the National University of Singapore. He also has a Master in Fire Engineering from the University of Western Sydney, Australia.
Suen Wee Kwok has more than 16 years of experience in the design, coordination and implementation of large and medium sized projects. He has worked on a diverse range of projects, covering institutional, education, hospitality, industrial, retail and sports & recreation. He is one of the principal designers behind many award winning projects like LASALLE College of the Arts and Westgate. He also developed the winning design for *SCAPE, a dedicated youth space in the city, as part of an architectural design competition. He has a Bachelor of Arts (Architecture Studies) and Master of Architecture from the National University of Singapore.
Jessica Lim has been the engineering lead for a wide range of projects from residential, to institutional, recreational and commercial developments, in Singapore and other countries like China, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam. She has more than 30 years of experience. She is also an ISO 9000 Internal Quality Auditor.
Some of her projects include the historic Haw Par Villa, enhancements for Changi Airport terminals 1 & 2, the new Terminal 4, ION Orchard, CapitaGreen and executing the winning competition design for *SCAPE. She is a Registered Professional Engineer (Civil) and a member of the Institution of Engineer in Singapore. She earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (with Honours) from the National University of Singapore.
Chan Kim Ming brings more than 30 years of engineering project experience to his work, overseeing major institutional, industrial and residential projects, from structural design development stage to completion. Some of his notable projects include the ITE College of East and Central and the Overseas Family School new campus.
