A new Central Business District is located in the northern part of Nanchang City, China. The planning includes commercial, government, entertainment, healthcare, educational, infrastructure, plaza and open space, residential and transportation land use. The core Central Business District of 0.34 km2 will generate 7 million m2 of gross floor area. Urban design and planning guidelines are established for detailed land use, floor area ratio, building height and setback. It was completed in September 2005.
